The real estate market has started picking up again in Wilkes County! The market has been very slow in other areas of the country, which caused a slowdown here because of the media coverage not making it clear our market was not the same as places like California, Florida, etc, where buyers were paying $700,000 for a $200,000 house. And also for folks who got adjustable rate loans who got in trouble when the rates went up higher.
Please rest assured there is still plenty of financing available if your credit is good (just like before), there are plenty of 100% financing loans, there are no grossly overpriced homes here in Wilkes, and buyers should have no fear about purchasing property.
Please do not listen to the media about the real estate market - they are telling the truth about some areas of the country, but they don't make it clear it is not that way everywhere.
Our sellers do not ask $300,000 for a $150,000 house. We price homes very well to bring a fair market price.
It is still a great time to buy and a great time to sell! Please call me to see any home on the market or if you want to sell your home. I will come out and do a free market analysis for you.
